Character Summary: Santa Claus adopts children that have nowhere else to go, and Healer was the first he adopted. When Healer was a child, his mother became very sick, and Healer would go out to beg people to spare money so that he could get her medicine. Healer had many hardships in begging, from being ignored to getting roughed up. But he always did his best, even smiling to his mother and lying about how he got hurt when his mother would worry. One day, his mother's condition took a turn for the worst, and no doctor would help him since he couldn't afford it. As he cried for help in the public square, Santa found him. But when Healer took Santa to his mother, she had already passed on.

Healer takes on a very motherly role with the others adopted. While his magical power is healing, he also tries to guide others to keep them from getting into trouble, making sure others are taken care of, and even does crafts such as knitting. Healer tends to be very gentle, even in his scoldings, and even clueless. He will sometimes turn down others, unaware that they're trying to spend time with him alone, offering solutions for other playmates. And this leads to confusion when others are hurt by the rejection. Healer also is still learning a lot, and has abrupt reactions to a good number of things, such as being pulled along to play, or freaking out over accidentally touching what could be a cursed item. He likes to nurture others around him.

AU Name: Finley Baines
Age: 24

AU History: Finley was born and raised in Wales by a single mother. She became extremely sick when he was a child, scaring Finley as he felt so helpless. Medical intervention helped her, though there were definitely some scares that she might not make it through. During this time, he had a dream where a monster was looming over his mother, making her sick. Worried he would lose her to this monster, he fought back and awoke as Dreamer Guardian, and his mother made a full recovery. This prompted Finley to want to become a doctor someday, along with the feelings of helplessness he had when other doctors were treating her. He wanted to make sure he could heal inside and out, whether that be via dreams or medical intervention.

Finley became strongly attached to his mother, hesitant to leave her side for very long in case she fell ill again. His mother didn't approve of this and often promised him that she was fine and encouraged him to find friends and hobbies. It took lots of time and encouragement from his mother before Finley started coming out of his shell to interact with others. He found caring for other kids his age easy. He started to carry around bandaids and snacks for them. And he thought his desire to take care of others was just further proof of him becoming a doctor. To this day, he carries around a first aid kit and packs of various snacks in a shoulder bag, in case he comes acrost anyone who needs them.

When Finley finally had the opportunity to go to university and start his path towards becoming a doctor, Finley got cold feet at the workload and dropped out. He always says something about it didn't feel quite right and decided to take some time to find himself. Ultimately, this has him distraught at the fear that he'll be just as helpless if and when the next time his mother gets sick. But at the same time, trying to force himself through the schooling felt entirely wrong as well. This impacts his self-esteem some, but he tries to pass it off with a smile.

When he found there was a larger support and gatherings of Dreamers in Japan, he headed there with his mother to learn more about himself and fine-tune his skills. Despite his dedication to being a reliable Dreamer, he still has a lot to figure out with himself and what he wants in the waking world. Working odd jobs, he eventually found a job with Amane's family (permission of hanamane) in the Moon Bunny Market. He also will pick up volunteer work from time to time. He's been in Japan for the better part of 4 years now.

AU Personality: Finley likes to support others and make sure they are nurtured and taken care of. He tends to stick his nose in other's business if he worries that they're having a hard time. He likes to connect with people, and may sometimes bend over backwards to make sure that they feel welcome around him.

That's not to say he doesn't have his boundaries. He's polite about it, but he will absolutely put his foot down if he feels he's being pressured into things he doesn't want to do. Finley is also careful about choosing his battles. Yes, he'll stand his ground, but he also tries to take others being affected into consideration. As such, he's also prone to speaking up for others when he notices they're having a hard time for themselves. From getting a waiter's attention at a restaurant, to asking clarifying questions on their behalf, and even making sure that no one is being bullied. He's aware of his own needs, but will certainly make personal sacrifices for others if push comes to shove.

It does take a particular lot to make Finley angry. He's not prone to it and would rather find solutions or be firm in his decisions. But he can certainly be pushed to anger if people, himself or others, aren't being respected after multiple explanations. He does his best to believe in the good in others, but he also realises that sometimes there's no reasoning with certain people. At that point, he may be more prone to raising his voice and even holding presumptions of the person if they meet again. But he'd likely go out of his way to avoid them unless they're bothering someone else.

Finley cares very strongly about his mother and, even though she's encouraged him to go out and live his life, he's still prone to running to her aid if she falls even slightly ill. His worry becomes evident in his daily life, and he'll be watching her from both the waking world and the dream world, running himself ragged until she's recovered. It will be clear that he's wearing himself thin to anyone who even glances at him during these periods of time. She even had to give in to move to Japan with him so that he would do what he wanted with his goals of being a better Dreamer.

Becoming a Dreamer, his personality is relatively the same in the Dreamworld as it is in the waking. He takes his job seriously, but his hesitance shows clearly. Fighting is scary, and he knows it must be done, so he pushes his way through it. Especially since it's to help others. But he knows Dreamers have fallen here. Being in a team, impromptu or otherwise, he becomes more determined to see things through. He has help, but he also wants to make sure they're protected from any harm. And that urge to protect others is stronger than his desire to step carefully. He admires those that are clearly more passionate, determined, and even stronger than himself. He secretly wishes he could be more like them.

Overall, Finley is friendly with a bit of a clueless air about him. He just wants others to be their best selves and to succeed, and he's happy to help others reach their potential if he can in any way. He'd rather see the positives in each day and cheer others on. He's also seeking his purpose, outside of being a Dreamer. While he's happy he can help save people, he's not content on settling with just that. He wants something more, he just doesn't know what it is. But he's happy to go with the flow of life until then.
